Open Eyes
Open Eyes.
Have you ever walked into a dark room, you eyes are trying to make sense of everything. They look around, scouring trying to help you understand what your surroundings are and if danger is around; but slowly your eyes adjust to the dark and things slowly come into view. Your eyes have indeed been open, see true darkness is the subtraction of light, and yet the light is within one's eyes. Life can sometimes be that dark room, shrouded in a cave of sorts with nothing but your eyes to make sense of the shapes and noises. In moderation, lingering in said rooms helps one understand that trusting one's other senses are vital. It helps one grow and be the wiser. In life we call these senses friends, family, our gut even; deprivation of knowledge can make one idle and aloof to what is happening in the many rooms of our lives. Those so called senses can fail us, they can fool us, make you question if they were ever truly functional. Have you lost your touch? Have you taken the information they provided and take it on face value? How can the senses you have known all your life deceive you like that, are they even worth a second chance? See, the beauty of knowledge is once you have it; you dissect it, try to reason with the fact, but facts are just that...facts. No one can argue with them, there is no alternative explanation, you can't be fooled any longer. It's cruel and cold, but there we have it; a dark room that take you by surprise. A destination that has either been sprung up, or has been orchestrated by those infamous senses you have come to depend on. Senses, dark rooms, the works..now we have open eyes, we have knowledge, we have nothing.
