Ahead

Ahead.

Before the tip of shoes, lays a new road. Paved with each step, no signs, no view, just a simple road with the latest destination. Unknown and frightening, the first steps have been taken; with the temptation to look behind. This new road doesn't provide the chance to look behind the shoulder. This road centralizes on the notion of moving forward, for this road is providing the opportunity to travel down it, to come into new scenes, new experiences, new connections. For this road, as new as it is does occasionally have potholes and small bumps; reminders and memories that keep you inspired to continue walking on it. And while we may not look back, we have the running pictures of what is behind us. The sun might have set on the other side of this road, but it's only rising on this one; even on those dark days when we can't see it. When it hides behind the fog and clouds, the warmth still manages to remind us that we are walking towards it. With no map in hand, this new road is taking us on a new journey; one with it's own ups and down, it's joys and upsets. All we can do is look ahead, and know that as painful as it was to leave our old broken in, comforting, and known road; this one is gearing us up for the future.
